The Azerbaijan Embassy in London and the European Azerbaijan Society co-organized the Novruz holiday festivity. Diplomats, members of the London community, journalists and Azerbaijanis living and studdying there attended the celebration.
Addressing the ceremony, Azerbaijan Ambassador to the UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov and chairman of European Azerbaijan Society Tale Heydarov congratulated participants on the Novruz holiday.
Speakers stressed the United Nations General Assembly recognized March 21 as International Novruz Day throughout the world and the holiday was included into the UNESCO world intangible cultural heritage list.
The event featured performance of Azerbaijani Honored artist Tunzala Agayeva and film about Azerbaijan.
