The State Commission on Student Admission made public residency admission rules for 2011/2012 academic year to organize training of doctors on the basis of basic high medical education.

Spokesperson for the Commission Elnur Naghizadeh said that only students with basic high medical education can enroll with residency program.

The residency education will be given on the basis of government order and funded by the government or will be paid. Foreigners and non-citizens, according to the international treaties Azerbaijan joined, if other cases are not considered by the legislation and intergovernmental agreements, can enroll with paid residency programs. The admission will be conducted on the professions according to basic high medical education (according to the school he/she graduated) of the doctors.

Naghizadeh said applicants would fill online application forms on the website of the State Commission for Student Admission and prove their applications personally submitting the documents required by the commission.

The admission campaign will be regulated by the normative documents prepared by the State Commission. If there are infringements (submitting falsified documents, copying, using mobile phones or other communications during the examination, as well as taking examination by other person instead of applicant and etc.), results of the examination will be annulled by the State Commission on Student Admission.
