The Youth and Sports Ministry will work hard to involve Azerbaijani youth in the upcoming parliamentary elections this autumn, Minister Azad Rahimov told media today.

"Projects will be implemented with NGOs working with youth to get them involved in the elections," he said.

The minister added that a campaign will soon launch to nominate promising youth as candidates.
Azerbaijani President Aliyev signed a decree on Sept. 3, scheduling the elections for Nov. 7.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral constituencies.
