The Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences has been elected full member of the Trans-European Association of Research and Education Networks (TERENA).
Director of the Institute of Information Technologies, correspondent member of the academy, Professor Rasim Aliguliyev will represent the academy at a general assembly of TERENA, the academy said.
TERENA, covering network of academic research centers and universities of Europe, is a transnational structure that promotes formation of a single global space-based national e-science and educational spheres.
It helps to create high-quality international information and telecommunications infrastructure that meets the interests of science and education.
