Justice Minister, Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council Fikret Mammadov met with visiting Deputy Director of the Turkish Justice Academy Sami Sezai Ural.
The Minister underlined Turkey and Azerbaijan are successfully cooperating in a variety of fields including the legal one. He touched on teaching of judges and judicial candidates as part of President Ilham Aliyev-led reforms. Fikret Mammadov noted 80 judicial candidates attended a training last year in Turkey.
Ural pointed out justice and judicial systems are steadily developing in Azerbaijan. He made a few proposals to deepen cooperation between both countries' justice bodies. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation, building the capacity of the Justice Academy and importance of Istanbul's hosting 30th conference of European justice ministers in November.
