100,000 tourists came from Iran to Azerbaijan on the eve of Novruz holiday, Azerbaijani ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Iran Javanshir Akhundov said.
The ambassador said at the meeting with head of Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mehdi Mostafavi that no factor could separate Iranian and Azerbaijani people.
“We have historical relations with ancient roots,” he said.
Mehdi Mostafavi noted that though the borders that divide the nations, their hearts were always together.
“Cultural relations, love remove borders. The relations between the two countries are strengthening. The religion, language and culture of the peoples of the two countries help them communicate easily,” he said.
Appreciating the relations between the two countries in all spheres Javanshir Akhundov noted that 100,000 Iranians visited Azerbaijan on the eve of Novruz holiday. The ambassador said Azerbaijani Culture Days would be held in Tehran in August, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev would attend the event and underlined that the relations between the two countries would further develop.
