The World Health Organization (WHO) plans to send extra vaccines against A/H1N1 virus (swine flu) to Azerbaijan, specialist at infectious diseases with the WHO office in Azerbaijan Vusala Allahverdiyeva said.
She noted that vaccines for 2 percent of the Azerbaijani population will be sent in accordance with the accord signed with the Ministry of Health.
Negotiations on delivery of the second consignment of vaccines are underway.
She said international health congress is satisfied with the vaccination process against A/H1N1 virus in Azerbaijan.
The World Health Organization (WHO) earlier sent 172,000 dozes of swine flu vaccines to Azerbaijan.
