Russian ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin awarded a group of Azerbaijani veterans of Afghanistan war with medals on Nov. 13.
Speaking to the event, the Ambassador stressed Azerbaijanis played a significant role in the war.
He praised Azerbaijani and Russian governments for jointly supporting veterans.
The event brought together representatives of Azerbaijan`s Presidential Administration, Ministry of Defense and Society of World War Veterans, as well as Ukrainian and Kazakh military attaches and journalists.
