A soldier of a military unit in Azerbaijan's Tovuz region (420 kilometers west of Baku) wounded his fellow from a firearm.
Soldier Vusal Imanov wounded his fellow Mubariz Farzaliyev as a result of reckless handling of firearm, Defense Ministry deputy spokesperson Teymur Abdullayev said.
The Gazakh Region Prosecutor Office filed a suit on the case. The wounded soldier has been hospitalized and his state is stable.
However, some media reports described the incident as a firefight between which wounded three soldiers as a result. The reports were spread without accurate report from the Defense Ministry and the Military Prosecutor's Office.
