Number of people infected with A/H1N1 has reached 285 in Iran, Irna news agency quoted member of the center for infectious decease under the Iranian Health Ministry Bizhan Sadrizade as saying.

A 36-year old woman infected with the virus A/H1N1 has died recently, Sadrizade said.

According to the İrna news agency, the first case of swine flu infection was recorded in Iran on July.14.

Currently A/H1N1 virus has been confirmed in 177 countries worldwide leaving 200,000 people infected and 1,800 fatal cases. According to the World Health Organization, the quick spread of the virus worldwide raises threats that nearly two billion people will be infected.

The main symptoms of the A/H1N1 are fever, sore throat, cough and diarrhea in some cases.
