Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (parliament0 will adopt important bills at the autumn session.

The autumn session will begin on October 1. But committees will launch work from September.

Each of the 11 committees are developing bills related to science, education, health, information and telecommunications, agriculture, military and industry, various spheres of economy and activities of municipalities.

The agenda of the autumn session has not been fully defined. But it is known that the Code of Competition, Code on Construction, bills on insurance, family planning and reproductive health, cooperation in agriculture, on cotton industry and on adult education will be debated.

The autumn session will also focus on Law on State Budget of Azerbaijan Republic for 2010 and other related laws. Moreover, amendments are expected to be made to the Electoral Code, Law on Prosecutor’s Office and Law on Freedom of Conscience. The parliament  will also discuss Azerbaijan’s military doctrine.
