Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh has been elected chief of Advisory Council of CIS Muslims, spokesperson for Caucasian Muslims Office Rahima Dadashova told APA from Moscow.
She said that the scientific conference “CIS Muslims for solidarity among religions and nations” for the first time brought together Muslim religious figures from CIS.
Dadashova said the conference participants discussed tasks and problems among Muslims. She said co-chair of CIS Interreligious Council Allahshukur Pashazadeh had been elected chairman of Advisory Council of CIS Muslims.
“Press conference will be held after the conference today,” she said.
