Activist of the movement for rights of South Azerbaijanis Said Rezevi Fagih was arrested in Iran, according to the World Azerbaijanis Congress.

Notably, the Azerbaijani activist, studying in France 4 years ago, came to Iran a week ago to see his family.

At the airport of Tehran "Imam Homeimi" his passport was taken away and he was told to came to the court. The court passed a decision to arrest him and he was sent to the Yevin jail.

Notably, 5 years ago the Azerbaijani activist was arrested for 2 months for participation in the students' movement. It is currently unclear, which charges he faces. He is accused of cooperation with reformist newspapers in Iran.
