European Broadcasting Union and Eurovision TV declared that the third dance contest Eurovision will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, at the sport and concert complex of Heydar Aliyev in September of this year.

According to Day.Az the 135 minute show will be transmitted live throughout Europe via Eurovision net at 21:00 Central European time, according to the official website of the Eurovision dance contest, About 8,000 spectators are expected to observe the show at the biggest concert arena of Baku.

The event is organized by the European broadcasting union and will be held by its Azerbaijani member, public television. The concept of he international dance contest was initiated by the International Dancing Sports Federation and turned into TV show by two production companies Splash Media and Sunset+Vine.

Finally, the EBU included this show into the family of Eurovision contests. The first two shows were successfully held by BBC in 2007 and 2008. Azerbaijani public television has won the EBU tender and became the receiving Television and radio broadcasting company of Dance Eurovision in 2009.

"EBU is satisfied with the level of commitments, professionalism and high spirit, demonstrated by the public television, Azerbaijani Ministry of youth and sport and Azerbaijani Federation of sport dances at talks following the Ictimai appeal", said director of Eurovision TV Byorn Erixen.

"We really hope that this would be done by one of the new EBU members".

The dance contest is the latest add to the European family. The participants will be represented by a dance couple. They will be judged by a group of experts on the arena. The European audience will be able to vote via TV voting and messaging.
