On October 28 the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council passed a decision to hold a tender for opening a new radio station in Azerbaijan, said head of the National Council Nushirevan Meherremli.
He noted that the new radio station will be named Media-FM and transmitted at the 105.5 frequency.
He said the administration of Digital company, which is a founder of the new station, promised to go on air before New Year.
The tender notably involved four bidders.
