"Anti-terror operations continue in the north of Azerbaijan," chief of Azerbaijan State Border Service, Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev told the press conference.
He said that operations are carried out with support of the Russian Border Troops and other law-enforcement bodies in northern regions of Azerbaijan and south of Dagestan.
"The operations continue. Azerbaijan’s law-enforcement bodies carried out successful operations to prevent the terrorists from entering the country. All law-enforcement bodies participated in the operations," he said.
Elchin Guliyev also answered the question about terrorists’ crossing Azerbaijan’s state border.
"That part of Azerbaijan is a mountainous, high and impassable region. Only well-trained men can cross that territory. This issue is in the focus of attention of both states," he said.
