The Shirvan court of appeal, presided by judge Ahmed Nurmamedov, is considering the appeal of five soldiers of N military unit, locating in Fizuli region of Azerbaijan, against accusations of cooperation with Armenian intelligence services.

According to APA, defenders of the accused persons spoke during the process. The appeal fixes request to cut the imprisonment term to their defendants. The court process will continue on August 1.

It should be noted that the military court of grave crimes sentenced Seyran Ismiyev and Mobariz Shikhaliyev to 14 years of imprisonment, Nogal Babayev, Sameddin Guliyev and Famil Aghayev to 13 years of imprisonment. They are found guilty under articles 274 (high treason) and 338.1 (violation of rules of combat duty) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
