On April 28 of this year three officers of Ettelaat department in Tebriz detained one of the activists of the movement for rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis-Amirabbas Banai Kazimi.

The due announcement was made by a source from the South Azerbaijan Independence Party.

The source noted that during the questioning the officials of Iranian special services tried to learn about the works, carried out in connection with the second anniversary of May 22 events.

"They warned our compatriot and announced that his actions are under control and he will be strictly punished in case of holding any action", said the source.

The source announced that on April 24 the Ettelaat officers came to his flat to arrest Amirabbas Banai Kazimi but failed as he was not in.

It should be noted that he was imprisoned for 6 months in 2007. During the arrest he was tortured, losing several teeth.
