The representatives of Israel's Red Shield of David (RSD) also known as Red Star of David has paid two-day visit to Azerbaijan, Israel Embassy Public Affairs Office informed.
The delegation headed by the president of RSD Executive Committee Noam Yifrakh will meet with Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Artur Lenk and the president of Azerbaijani Red Crescent Society Novruz Aslanov. The future perspectives of bilateral relations will be discussed at the meeting, APA reports. Founded in 1930, RSD has 95 stations in six regions of Israel with over 700 Ambulance cars, and nearly 1200 doctors, paramedics and medical technicians as well as 10.000 volunteers working in the administration and operations. Over half million people use RSD’s service at present. The organization also functions as Blood bank. Officially recognized by International Red Cross Organization, RSD is member of International Red Cross Federation and Red Crescent Society.
