The US Embassy asked National Television and radio Council (NTRC) for delay to legalize VOA and Radio Liberty broadcasting in private TV channels, Nushirevan Maharramli, NTRC chief told.
"The broadcasting of these radio stations is carried out in accordance with the US legislation, but they violate Azerbaijan legislation. The US State Department expresses its concern over the problem, because it funds these radio stations. We conveyed our remarks and proposals to the embassy. They will take necessary measures," he said, according to APA.
