The tournament is jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport, National Olympic Committee, Azerbaijan Judo Federation and Baku City Administration.

According to AzerTAg, the event will gather some 150 junior boys and girls from Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia and Ukraine and winners will be announced May 21.

The tournament has been held on a regular basis since 1975. To date, some 5 thousand athletes including 900 from foreign countries, have been involved in the competition.
