Polad Bulbuloglu, the Azerbaijani Culture Minister, has been awarded ‘Peace Rose’ Gold Medal.
The Azerbaijani Culture Ministry told Trend it is one of the highest awards of the World Culture Institute of UNESCO and the International Humanitarian Academy ‘Europe-Asia’.
The medal was presented to the Minister during the 12th session of the Permanent Council of the Culture Ministers of Turkic Speaking Nations entering the International Organization on Joint Development of Turkic Culture and Art, TURKSOY, which has been recently held in Kazan. Bulbuloglu is a General Director of this organization.
TURKSOY was founded in 1993 and now unites 14 countries, including 6 regions of Russia as observer countries: Hakasia, Tatarstan, Bashkiria, etc. Turkey is a depositary country hosting the headquarters of the organization in its capital city Ankara. Permanent council of the Culture Ministers of Turkic countries is the high organ of TURKSOY.
