Numerous ancient items have been discovered in Azerbaijan’s Goranboy region.

The artifacts, dating back to the 12th century, were found on the territory of the Borsunlu village during the work for laying the infrastructure pipeline, Report.Az reported.

Archaeologists, studying the area, revealed various items of pottery, colored bowls, a lamp and a churn. The archaeologists said that items of pottery have not lost their quality, despite the fact that nearly 900 years have passed since their manufacture.

The historians say that this is an indicator of the development of craftsmanship here and the formation of urban culture.

About 30 exhibits found in the territory of the village Borsunlu were transferred to the Goranboy Museum of Local History.

Extensive archaeological excavations are expected to be held in the territory.
