Baku has perfectly prepared for the F1 Grand Prix of Europe, Sarah Gael, a tourist from France, told Trend.

“Everything has been perfectly organized,” she said. “Everything, namely screens, grandstands, entry-exit zones, is very convenient for fans. I am very pleased with everything.”
Gael also shared her impressions of Baku.

“I really liked Baku, its streets, its parks,” she said. “There are a lot of beautiful fountains in the city. I also went to the beach, which I also liked very much.”

Azerbaijan is hosting the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe for the first time. The event started on June 17 and will end on June 19.

The Baku circuit, which is slightly over six kilometers, will have the racers to go 51 laps. Overall, 11 teams, two drivers in each, will compete in the race.

The specially constructed street circuit will see F1 cars race around the stunning downtown area of Baku, incorporating its UNESCO-protected old city – Icheri Sheher historical-architectural reserve – as well as its modern skyline and beautiful Caspian Sea promenade.

The highest estimated speed on the circuit is 340 km/h.

GP2 first race, Formula 1 third practice session and Formula 1 qualifying will be held on the second day of the races on June 18, while the GP2 second race and 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe will be held on the last day of the races, June 19.
