Snow fell in Azerbaijan’s region on June 9 following the sharp weather deterioration.

The snowfall was recorded on the southern foot of the Greater Caucasus Mountains in Azerbaijan's Zagatala region.

There have been occasional rainfall in the region over the past 15 days, the temperature has dropped by 6…C in the mountainous areas and by 14…C in the low-lying areas.

Residents of Aghdam, Barda, Tovuz and Ganja, however, suffered from the hailstorm, according to the National Department for Hydrometeorology of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry. People posted photos of hail-covered blooming trees and green grass in social media.

Hail damaged agriculture in Aghdam`s Quzabli settlement as well as Uchoglan, Safarli, Guzanli villages.

The Department warned that unstable weather conditions will continue till June 13, especially at night the lightning and rain are expected. Rainfall will intensify in some places, hail is expected.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, on June 10, lightning and rain is expected at night and in the evening. It will intensify in some places, hail is expected. West wind will waft and intensify in some places.

The temperature is expected +13-18?C at night, +22-27?C in the afternoon, +6-11?C in mountains at night, +12-17?C in the afternoon.

As for Baku and Absheron, rain and lightning are predicted, the weather will be mainly dry during the daytime. North-west wind will waft and occasionally intensify.

The temperature is expected +15-18?C at night, +20-25?C the afternoon in Absheron peninsula, +16-18?C at night, +23-25?C in the afternoon in Baku. Air pressure records 761. Relative humidity will be around 75-85% at night, 60-70% in the afternoon.
