Rovnag Abdullayev, the president of AFFA, which is the soccer authority of Azerbaijan, has been nominated for the same position, according to a message on AFFA’s official website.

Abdullayev’s candidacy will be put forward at AFFA's next reporting-election conference, to be held March 11, read the message posted Feb. 18.

He was elected the AFFA president in 2008 and 2012.
