Journalist Mohsen Fathi was arrested in Iran on charges of cooperation with the Persian service of BBC, Fars news agency reported Sunday.
According to the agency, the journalist is also accused of spreading false information.
The site of BBC Persian has denied it cooperated with Fathi. According to the Persian service, it has no office in Iran and there are no its employees in the country.
