Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri called the agreement reached on Russia's joining the WTO as a step forward.

The Georgian side had a clear requirement during the negotiations to establish an international monitoring on an economic border, he said at a cabinet meeting yesterday.

He said that Russia and Georgia will also impose a specific trade regime. The Georgian side will receive full information about the movement of goods.

"This information is required for the country's security," he said. "All our requirements have been met in the document developed by the Swiss side. Russia has agreed with it yesterday."
