13 October 2011 [08:35] - Today.Az
The events in the Middle East reflect the failure of the hegemonic countries' policy in the region, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was quoted by TV channel IRINN while addressing the residents of the city of Kermanshah on Wednesday.
"The former authorities of Egypt, Tunisia and Libya fulfilled the U.S instructions," Khamenei said.
The supreme leader said that the U.S is now trying to regain control over the situation in the region, but without any result.
He stressed that the events in the region have an impact on the processes in Iran. "If there is a unity, development and security in Iran, it pleases the peoples of the region," he said. However, if there are discords in Iran, as the West wants, it would upset the peoples of the region."
Today Iran's Supreme Leader launched his visit to the province of Kermanshah, where he will hold meetings in different cities.
