Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that the Turkish Air forces will continue operations in northern Iraq until they are complete, Anadolu reported.
"We have entered a new phase in a war with terrorism. The military operations will continue", he said during his speech on television.
Air strikes were conducted after the militants’ terror attack in southeastern Turkey on Aug. 17, in which nine Turkish servicemen were killed.
This is Turkey’s first attack on northern Iraq in over a year.
