The damage caused by the floods in the Kakheti region in eastern Georgia is estimated at 6.8 million lari (1.64 lari is $1), the Kakheti Information Center reported. The flood mainly affected the Lagodekhi area (5-million lari damage).

The damage caused to the Sagarejo area is estimated at $ 1.3 million lari and Gurjaani area - 0.5 million lari.

The natural disaster in Lagodekhi destroyed buildings, washed out roads, damaged the gas pipeline, power lines and water supply system.

Sagarejo also faced a hard situation. Farms and infrastructure were heavily damaged here. The roads and bridges were destroyed and head structure for supplying drinking water were damaged in Gurjaani.
