Rector of the Georgian National Defense Academy Andro Barnov was appointed as the Deputy Defense Minister, the Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend.
Military expert and political analyst Barnov was appointed as the rector of the National Defense Academy in November 2010.
Georgian Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia has four deputies, including Andro Barnov, Nodar Kharshiladze, Nika Dzimtseishvili and Kakha Butskhrikidze.
