Two people were killed Thursday in a paragliding accident in the Turkish Aegean resort town of Fethiye, Xinhua reported.

The two paragliders crashed into the rocks after jumping off from an altitude of 1,700 meters on the Babadag mountain, the state-run Anatolia news agency reported.

No information was immediately available on the identities and nationalities of the two paragliders. Medical rescue staff were dispatched by helicopter but the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Turkey attracts many paragliders with its ideal condition for the sport and the stunning views that can be enjoyed.
