Five more persons have been sentenced to pretrial detention within the investigation on match-fixing scandal.

The court “Besiktas” club’s vice-president Serdar Adali, the club’s head coach Tayfur Havutchu, the club’s security chief Ahmet Atesh, football players of the “Istanbul Buyuk Shehir Belediyyesi” football club Ibrahim Akin and Isgandar Alin were sentenced to pretrial detention.

These persons were committed to “Metris” prison in Istanbul. During Akin and Alin’s testimony to the prosecutor, they accepted the charges.

Thus, the number of people jailed in the match-fixing operation has reached 31.
