The stress-tests with the participation of international experts will be held in Armenia’s Metsamor nuclear power plant, said head of Armenia’s State Committee on Nuclear Safety Ashot Martirosian, Armenian press reoprted.

The results achieved by stress-test will be given to European Union’s experts for discussion. Japan’s nuclear plant accident caused the necessity of holding emergency stress-tests in Metsamor.

The experts of IAEA are expected to participate in the planned tests.

The final results of researches conducted recently by OSART (Operational Safety Review Team) under IAEA will be publicized in 3 months. Head of the commission Gabor Vamos said that they took technical notes and now are working on the final report on nuclear plant’s security and the general opinion will be declared in August-September.
