Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will solemnly open a new customs checkpoint in Sarpi.

An agreement will be signed today on simplified border crossing regime for both countries’ citizens.

Under the agreement, Georgian citizens from July 1 will be able to cross the border with an identity card.

Georgian President Saakashvili and Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan are also scheduled to hold one-on-one meeting.
