The growth of Turkey's retail industry is expected to reach $250 billion by 2014, according to a Deloitte report released on Tuesday.

Current Turkish retail market is around $187 billion.

Deloitte report showed that food spending totaled $96 billion in 2010. Spending on household goods, clothing and technology followed it. Turkish people spent $26.5 billion for household goods, $26.5 billion for clothing and $7.3 billion for technology products.

In 2010, Turkey's non-food retail market grew by 16 percent and ready-to-wear market expanded 27 percent.

Also, the size of e-commerce reached $9.4 billion in Turkey.
