A new domestically built solar-powered car named 'Ghazal 2' will be unveiled during the 16th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran by Iranian Fuel Conservation Company (IFCO), IRNA reported.
Sponsored by IFCO, Ghazal 2 has been designed by Tehran University students.
The aerodynamic body of the Ghazal 2, fitted with enhanced solar cells, can reach a maximum speed of 120kph.
Iran's 16th International Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition is scheduled to open in Tehran on Friday, April 15.
Some 927 Iranian and 460 foreign companies are taking part in the exhibition. The exhibition will be open to public from April 16-19.
