Armenia’s internet was cut off for several hours on March 28 because of a 75-year-old Georgian woman, the Russian-language Business Gruzii website reported.

The woman has already confessed that she caused damage to the cable that provides internet access to Armenia. She told the police that she was looking for cooper in Ksani village in the region of Mtskheti as she damaged the cable.

A criminal case has been launched against the woman. According to the Georgian Criminal Code she is facing 1-3 years in prison.
