The Central Bank of Iran faced an armed attack at 21:00 last night, Head of the Tehran Police Department’s Service for Combating Crime Mohsin Khancharli was quoted as saying by ISNA news agency.
A shooting took place between the bank’s security service and two unknown, when the latter attempted to stole money from the Bank. They were arrested with the help of police.
Khancharli said a criminal case was launched into the fact. The investigation is underway.
