Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay paid a working visit to the city of Nigde where he visited an Armenian church.
In the course of his visit Gunay met with Nigde's Mayor and visited abandoned Armenian and Greek churches, Turkish Dikkathaber website reports. He stressed importance of monuments’ restoration, adding it would contribute to increase in number of tourists.
Earlier Nigde Mayor announced he intends to restore Armenian and Greek churches.
