The secretary-general of the Turkish parliament arrived in Baku to attend an informal meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkish Language Speaking Countries. Sadettin Kalkan is set to meet with Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Oktay Asadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. He will also attend a conference at the Baku State University.
Secretaries-general of Turkish, Azerbaijani and Kazakh parliaments will be in attendance at the TURKPA meeting. TURKPA is an organization set up under an agreement signed by parliament speakers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in Istanbul, Turkey on November 21, 2008.
