Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia Illia the Second asks Government to create the system more defending prisoners' rights.

Illia the Second stated in the epistle that there are prisoners executed for minor crimes and they need special approach and process of their release must hasten.

He states that ill prisoners must be in separate category, especially those with tuberculosis and they must be given intensive treatment.

"Possibility of private meeting between an inmate and his or her spouse would be very important. The isolation existing today becomes reason of broken families and enhancing unhealthy psychological processes of the prisoner. The state must take care to return spiritually and physically healthy to the society," Patriarch declares.
