Georgian President's Spokesperson Manana Manjgaladze announced at the briefing on March 23 that it is quite possible that the holidays of various ethnic groups in Georgia should be granted the status of national holiday as it is for Navruz Bairam, major religious holiday for muslims.

President thinks that Georgia is rich with co-residing of various ethnic minorities.

"Georgia is proud of the tradition of peaceful co-existence of the representatives of various ethnic minorities, who live here for centuries, therefore, it is not ruled out that like Novruz Bairam other holidays of ethnic minorities take the status of national holiday in Georgia," Manjgaladze said.
