New Colombian ambassador to Iran on Tuesday submitted his credentials to the Iranian President.

In the meeting with the Colombian ambassador, President Ahmadinejad said the Islamic Republic of Iran favors security, success and welfare of all nations.

"All global states have right to enjoy tranquility and gain achievements," the Iranian President noted.

President Ahmadinejad said that the bullying powers do not want peace and security for the world countries, but the era of those powers and imperialism has ended.

For his part, Colombia’s ambassador said the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stand is useful for the international peace and security.

He then called for promotion of cooperation between Tehran and Bogotá and said Colombia has no limit for cooperation with Iran.

He said that his country is keen on fostering ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The new Colombian non-resident ambassador has already presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
