On March 10, Armenian National Security Council Chief received a delegation headed by Chairman of the CIS Council's of border guard troops Executive Board, General-Colonel Alexander Manilov.
The officials discussed ways to raise level of border security, Armenian NSC press office said.
Artur Baghdasaryan noted that major reforms are carried out in Armenia to ensure higher level of border security and a project to modernize frontier infrastructure is being prepared.
Manilov briefed on Council's activities. He attached significance to the creation of inter-agency Commission on ensuring frontier security and modernization of border infrastructure in Armenia.
An agreement was reached to enhance the cooperation with the Command of border guard troops, as well as sharing the existing experience in the implementation of reforms in Armenia.
