Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin left for Italy on Wednesday upon a formal invitation by Gianfranco Fini, the president of Italian House of Representatives.

Delegations of Turkey and Italy will meet following a tete-a-tete meeting of Sahin and Fini.

Sahin and Fini will later make a joint statement at Italian House of Representatives.

Fini will host lunch in honor of Sahin and accompanying parliamentary delegation.

In the evening, Sahin and the Turkish delegation will attend a dinner that would be hosted by Turkey's Ambassador to The Vatican Kenan Gursoy.

Sahin will receive Turkish citizens living in Italy on March 4 at the Turkish Embassy in Rome.

Sahin will meet Italian Senate Chairman Renato Schifani on March 4 and will be received by Italian President Giorgio Napolitano on March 5.

Sahin and the parliamentary delegation will return to Turkey on March 5.
