Georgia`s breakaway Abkhazia has a new foreign minister.

Maksim Ghvinjia, who has been so far occupying the position of the deputy minister, has been promoted and appointed the minister of foreign affairs.

The previous chief of the so-called foreign ministry, Sergey Shamba was appointed the prime minister of the break-away regime after the leader of the separatist government Sergey Bagapsh assumed the office of the so-called president for the second term.
