On Feb. 24, newly appointed Algerian Ambassador to Armenia Smail Chergui (residence-Moscow) presented his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
The Armenian minister attached significance to the development of Armenia-Algeria relations expressing a hope that the newly appointed Ambassador will contribute to it.
The officials made a point of forming contractual underpinnings between the two states, as well as the steps to deepen economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
Nalbandian and Chergui also referred to Armenia-Algeria cooperation within international organizations and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.
