Economic recession in Armenia is over, Armenian Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan said.
He noted that compared to January last ear, the economic upturn of 2.1 percent is registered.
"Last year technology and equipment worth $30 million was imported to the republic, meaning increase in productivity will be perceptible this year and the growth is entailed by this," the minister stated.
According to him, construction sector keeps on the downturn.
"To avoid the social collapse the Government tried to save construction sector, as could not allow it to fall down,” minister declared adding that the state expenditures will also assist the economic growth.
